Welcome to Oxberg, which is located a few miles outside Mora in Dalarna and Fädrens leden by the Vasaloppsleden. Here you live on the owner's plot together with 3 more cozy log cabins where everyone shares a lovely lawn and barbecue area. If you are going to run the Vasaloppe sometime during the year, this is the perfect cabin as it is located directly next to the trail. Here you can easily pack a picnic bag and go hiking or take a turn on the MTB trail. Unique log cabin from the 18th century where the original cabin has been preserved from its origins. At the beginning of the cabin you can see the beautiful timbered wall and inside there are two bedrooms with two single beds in each room, 80 pcs. 90 cm. The kitchen is combined with a period kitchen sofa and kitchen table and chairs. The kitchen functions as a social room and here you can sit and play games, socialize and talk about all the experiences of the day. The kitchen has a kettle, pressure cooker, induction hob with 2 plates, microwave, cooker hood and fridge with freezer compartment. Beautifully decorated bathroom with wc, sink and shower in beautiful Elvdal quartzite from Mångsbodarna's quarry. None of the cottages have a TV. Outside there is a patio with outdoor furniture. The owner rents out a rowing boat that can be booked by all guests who rent at the farm, first come, first served. The cabin is located in scenic surroundings, rural and high with lovely natural grounds and forest all around. Here you pick seasonal berries and mushrooms and in the area there is a great opportunity to see everything from moose to forest birds. Below is Oxbergssjön with its popular swimming area which has both a trampoline, jetty and sandy beach. If you want to fish, there are several different lake systems around with everything from trout to grayling (fishing license required). Youth groups cannot book this accommodation as a guardian is required throughout the stay. If you are staying for a longer period and need to do laundry, there are laundry facilities in the village's fresh laundry room. The area around Siljan has lots of attractions. We recommend both Orsa Rovdjurpark in Grönklitt, Zorn and the Vasalopps Museum in Mora, the Dalahest production in Nusnäs and a trip to Tomteland where Santa lives.
