Welcome to this pleasant and sunny cottage in a child-friendly area very close to the Gullmarsfjord, which is Sweden's largest fjord, and the Torreby golf course, which is Bohuslän's oldest golf course, the course is located in a castle setting with an English-inspired castle park. Around the cabin there are great opportunities for hiking and in the surrounding forests there is both a rich wildlife as well as berries and mushrooms, the area is also well known for its white moose, if you are lucky it might pass by early morning or late evening. Gullmarsfjorden's salty waters invite both fishing and swimming. From Apelviken's nice swimming area near the cottage, you can enjoy the sun and swim from the rocks or sandy beach. Through Munkedal flows the Örekilsälven river, which is a popular river for salmon fishing, many sport fishing enthusiasts have tried their luck over the years, in its vicinity there is also a museum railway where you can try a steam locomotive ride. Via the entrance, you reach the cottage's hall, which turns into a large, lovely open area with high ceilings, here is the cottage's kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and dishwasher. Living room with cozy warming wood stove, cozy corner with sofa bed and comfortable chairs, dining area in pleasant glass veranda environment. In the dining area, a double door leads you out onto the cabin's large patio area with summer furniture and barbecue, where you can enjoy animals and nature in a peaceful environment while you grill a good piece of food and discuss the day's adventures or plan for new ones. The cottage also has a bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer. Two bedrooms on the first floor, one with a 140 cm bed and a passage room with a bunk bed, from the hall a staircase leads up to the sleeping loft with a double bed, the ceiling height of approx: 160 cm enhances the cozy environment of this loft. Around the cottage there are nice lawn areas for games and play, and as a neighbor is the area's shared football/playground. The cabin has a fiber connection. The municipality of Munkedal has very varied natural areas worth visiting, everything from sea and fjord environments to deep forests with lakes and rivers. From Kaserna's canoe centre, an approximately 4-mile long paddling trail runs through lakes and waterways, a fantastic opportunity to explore a beautiful part of the surrounding area. From the cottage you can also easily reach other municipalities and excursion destinations worth visiting, e.g. take the local road past Saltkällan, Skredsvik, Rotviksbro stop at "Två Fröknar" which is a cozy shop with both interior design and clothes. Next door is the restaurant Stallgården, which also sells organic produce in the shop "Stallgården's Pantry". Then continue with some shopping at Torp Köpcentrum or a visit to Bohusläns Museum. From the cabin, you can also easily make day trips to Nordens Ark, Havets Hus in Lysekil, Smögenbryggan, fishing and boating communities in the northern part of Bohuslän.
