This cozy cabin is located in the middle of Edsåsdalen's ski system, which offers nice, protected and well-planned slopes. Just put on your skis outside the door and slide away!
The cottage faces south and has a welcoming covered veranda. There is infrared heating if the evening gets chilly. Large veranda in front of the house in the south. Charcoal grill and outdoor furniture are available. The view of the mountain is incomparable! Once inside, there is a hall with underfloor heating and tiles with plenty of space to hang clothes. The kitchen and main cabin are open with ceiling height up to the ridge. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area for 8 and a large sitting area in front of the fireplace and the TV. In the cupboard there are family games, card games and a large supply of DVD films if you want to watch in the good old classic way. You also have access to broadband which is included.
The sleeping places are divided over 3 bedrooms, 2 with bunk beds and a slightly larger one with a double bed. Wardrobes are in each room. There is a separate toilet and then a shower room with toilet, shower and sauna. Large south-facing plot of 1900 m2.
In winter, you park in the village and then walk 200 meters up to the cottage. The advantage is that you avoid traffic and the children can play undisturbed, and that you slide right into the ski track. If you want longer slopes, both Trillevallen and Åre are within 20 minutes by car.
In the summer, it is fine to drive up to the house with plenty of space to park the car.
To see and do in Edsåsdalen and the surrounding area
Edsåsdalen is a child-friendly village in the middle of the Jämtland mountains close to Åre. There is something to do here all year round.
Edsåsdalen's cross-country tracks are well known for their high quality and are close to the cabin. On fine days, the lift opens up on Renfjället. Renfjället is also wonderful to tour. There is also White Reindeer, which serves homemade food and waffles.
Hiking trails to the surrounding mountains are just outside the door. A car ride away is Åre, Trillevallen, Vålådalen with several fine hiking and cycling opportunities. You can rent a rowing boat on Lake Hensjön, which is a few km from the cottage. There is also fishing and swimming.
