Nice and well-furnished holiday home with its own lake plot directly by Lake Mien in Midingstorp. There are no close neighbors and a large garden/nature plot of 5200 m2, which is partially fenced and has a lot of vegetation. Cows and horses can walk outside on the fields during the summer.
The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 with double beds and 2 with single beds (1.20). The house is for a maximum of 6 people and pets are not welcome as there is already a cat on the property. You have two large living rooms. The one on the lower level has a stove cassette if you want to light a fire. The kitchen is cozy and large with all amenities such as fridge/freezer and dishwasher and there is also a wood burning stove. The bathroom has a WC, sink, hand shower and bathtub as well as a washing machine. Air source heat pump, TV, Wifi/fiber and Chromecast and electricity are included in the rent. There is an outdoor shower with running hot and cold water at the back of the house. There is also an open terrace facing the lake and the possibility to sit inside the old former brewery, which is located directly by the lake with a fantastic view of Mien. A barbecue area and several seating options are available around the garden. An aluminum canoe from Linder is included. You have only 25 m from the house to your own sandy beach if you want to take a morning swim. Mien is known for its large pikes, but there are also perch here. Fishing licenses are easiest to buy in the hardware store in Ryd if you want to go fishing. The lake also offers great swimming opportunities. The nearest bathing place is Laxasand, which is shallow with a sandy beach. Then, in the southern part of the lake, there is one by Midingsbråte which has jetties, a kiosk, a playground and a barbecue area. Mien is almost circular with a small island – Ramsö – in the middle. The lake is the remains of an impact crater, which was formed by a meteorite about 120 million years ago.
To see and do in Urshult and the surrounding area
Your house is 13 km from Urshult and the nearest shop is in Ryd 12 km. In Urshult, you can eat well at Ladan, which is located directly by Åsnen. Urshult is also known for its apple farms and a visit to Lunnabacken and Sirkön is a must. If you want to play tennis or mini golf, there is an opportunity to do so at Tingsryd resort. Here you also eat a good lunch with a view of Lake Tiken. Karlshamn has a nice inner city and much else to discover such as Kreativium Science Center which is a discovery center for curious people of all ages. By the sea, you can eat well at Vägga fish harbor's picturesque marina directly by the jetty.
