Among the various activity options in the area are a forest playground and mini golf. In Nissum fjord you can do excellent windsurfing, especially from the fishing village of Thorsminde. There you will also find the stranding museum, which offers insight into everyday life aboard the English warships St. George and Defence. For an excursion, the beautiful old trading town of Ringkøbing, known as the city of red roofs, with charming cobbled streets, is only half an hour by car from the house. On the way to Ringkøbing you will pass through the seaside town of Søndervig, where there is a 27-hole golf course, bowling alleys, stores and restaurants. Also take a day trip to Legoland or Aarhus.
